A city council election will be held one week after the General Election.
Following the recent resignation of a city councillor, an election will be held for the area of Salisbury St Francis and Stratford ward.
The Salisbury St Francis and Stratford ward is missing a councillor after Mark Mewse resigned on Wednesday, April 17.
This came weeks after he was convicted of harassing a former Salisbury Reds colleague.

To stand for election for the role of City Councillor in Salisbury St Francis and Stratford ward you will first need to obtain a nomination paper from the returning officer, which can be found at electoralcommission.org.uk.
Alternatively, you can collect a nomination paper at the main reception of either County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, The Council House, Bourne Hill, Salisbury or at the Council Offices, Monkton Park, Chippenham. You can also call the Wiltshire Electoral Services on 0300 456 0112.
This will then need to be hand-delivered to the Returning Officer, or his appointed staff at Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, on any day after the date of the notice, on working days from Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm excluding bank holidays, but no later than 4pm on Friday, June 14.
If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, July 11.
