Travellers are reportedly 'blocking exits' of Britford Park and Ride on Downton Road.
This news comes after three instances of Travellers setting up camp in unauthorised spaces, with groups in the London Road Park and Ride on both May 8 and May 28, and in Amesbury's central car park on May 15.
Wiltshire Council visited the Downton Road site promptly after reports had been made regarding the blocking of exits, and on the morning of Tuesday, June 4, the occupants were asked to move on.
Photos shared on social media show a washing line, cars, caravans and tents.
In a statement on Monday, June 3, Wiltshire Council leader cllr Richard Clewer said: “Council officers have visited an unauthorised encampment at Britford Park and Ride site.
"The relevant welfare checks have been conducted and notices to leave the land will be issued Tursday morning.”
