A GIRL needed medical attention after she was punched "several times" in a public garden.
The victim, 16, broke free from the attacker but the suspect threw her mobile phone into the river.
A man in his 20s was also punched in the face during the attack.

The pair were assaulted in Queen Elizabeth Gardens at around 8.45pm on Monday, June 3.
Wiltshire Police is investigating the assault and has asked anyone with information to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "At approximately 8.45pm on Monday June 3, a man in his 20s and a 16-year-old girl were assaulted in Queen Elizabeth Gardens.
"The man was punched to the face and the girl was punched several times.
"Fortunately, the girl managed to break free however, the suspect threw her mobile phone into the river.
"She required medical attention for her injuries."
