A new town mayor has been a key part of a volunteer service which helps people every month.
Ringwood residents are encouraged to pop along to the Repair Cafe at Greyfriars Community Centre between 10am and 12noon on Saturday, June 8.
The repair cafe runs every second Saturday of the month and volunteers help people fix their broken objects - saving them from the rubbish tip.

One of those volunteers is Councillor Rae Frederic, the new Mayor of Ringwood Town Council.
A spokesperson said: "The Mayor, Mrs Rae Frederick, representing residents in Ringoowd North ward, has been a member of the organising team of volunteers from the cafe's outset and performs an essential role in welcoming visitors, helping them to complete their registration and then matching their repair to another volunteer who can undertake their repair."
Anyone who has an item in need of repair is asked to email ringwoodrepaircafeuk@gmail.com and the group will match you up with a volunteer to help fix your broken item.
