Salisbury Reds are asking for customer feedback on an upcoming £11.4m investment for 2026.
The local bus operator is welcoming an electric demonstrator bus to Salisbury - in preparation for ordering its new fleet of zero-emissions vehicles due to arrive in early 2026.
The move follows Salisbury Reds’ and Wiltshire Council’s successful bid for funding from the Department of Transport’s latest Zero Emission Bus Regional Area scheme.

Salisbury Reds general manager, Andrew Sherrington, said: “The funding, combined with additional investment from Salisbury Reds and Wiltshire Council, means a total of £11.4m will be used to revolutionise our city network
“We are researching the best electric buses to invest in, so we currently have this double-decker demonstrator to monitor and assess. The Volvo BZL has now entered service on our city network - and it will be with us until Friday, June 7.
“We are asking our customers for feedback on both buses - including how they compare to our existing diesel buses, whether they like the interior layouts, how they feel about the noise of the buses, and whether they are likely to travel more or less on the new electric buses."
Salisbury Reds currently use three electric buses, but the new investment will allow for a further 23.
Feedback can be left on the Salisbury Reds website.
