Salisbury Reds has said that they expect to have "significant delays" to their service due to upcoming roadworks.

The delays will be a result of three-way temporary traffic lights set up on Castle Street near to Mill Stream Approach from Monday, June 3. The roadworks will remain while Wessex Water makes urgent repairs to a damaged sewer, and are expected to be completed by Friday, June 14.

Salisbury Reds' depot is located on Castle Street, not far from where the work is to be carried out.

Salisbury Journal:

The traffic lights, which will be in use 24 hours a day, are said to be manually operated during peak times to help with rush hour congestion.

Spokesperson for Salisbury Reds Dave Bowen said: “We have liaised with both Wessex Water and Wiltshire Council regarding these emergency works, and the resulting traffic management. We understand traffic signals will be operated manually over both morning and evening peak times, to help ease congestion.

"We will do our best to minimise any disruption for the duration of the works but we are expecting significant delays to services, which are beyond our control. We would like to thank our customers for their understanding during this time.”
