Temporary traffic lights will be set up on Castle Street next week, with delays expected.
The three-way temporary traffic lights will be set up at the junction by Mill Stream Approach from Monday, June 3 while Wessex Water carries out urgent repairs to a damaged sewer.
The traffic lights will be in place for 24 hours a day to allow the road to be excavated, and machinery to be stored on site.
With the ongoing work to the Coach Park and Fisherton Street still one-way, delays are expected for drivers using the road.
Work is expected to finish by Friday, June 14, with no interruption to customers’ water or sewerage services.

A Wessex Water spokesperson said: “Our repair teams will be working extended hours and at weekends, with temporary lights required to work quickly and safely.
“We’re sorry for any traffic delays caused by this urgent and essential work on our sewerage network.”
