A WOMAN threatened to kill someone on Boxing Day after damaging his car.
James Richardson was sat in the lounge with his partner and six-month-old child at around 9.30pm on December 26 when he heard two women shouting and screaming coming outside his home.
One of the women was Emma Neave, of Wyndham Road, who ripped the rear wingmirror off his Kia Niro and shouted “I will f**king kill you. I will be back to beat you up and damage your car”.
Police officer Hassan Seggari arrived shortly afterwards following another report and arrested Neave, a 29-year-old part time warehouse worker.
While escorting being escorted to custody, the defendant turned to Mr Seggari and said “f**k off you foreigner”.
In a statement read at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Friday, May 24, Mr Richardson said the incident left him “shaken”.
He added: “I have a young baby in the house and I’m worried what Emma may do if she returns.”
Mr Richardson explained how his wife now asks to be escorted to and from her car after witnessing the incident.
“I’m unsure if Emma lives locally and that makes me scared to walk around town. It has left me in fear and at a financial loss,” he said.
The court heard how Neave had previous convictions of criminal damage, assaulting an emergency worker and a racially aggravated public order offence.
Bob Scott, mitigating, said Neave had been round her sister’s home for dinner when her partner of 12 years had a “mental health incident” which involved “jumping out of a moving car”.
“This young lady was trying to get her partner home. Clearly they had a fair bit to drink and that affected her actions,” said Mr Scott.
“She accepts that which she has done, not that she has much choice in the advent of body-worn cameras.”
Neave has been off work sick with mental health problems while awaiting an ADHD and autism assessment, the court heard.
Magistrates sentenced Neave to a community order during which she must complete 15 rehabilitation days.
Neave must also pay £83.20 compensation to Mr Richardson and £100 compensation to police officer Hassan Seggari whom she racially abused.
