A serious crash has closed the A303 in both directions.
On Tuesday, April 30, Wiltshire Police warned that the dual carriageway will be closed in both directions between the A36 (Deptford) and A350 (East Knoyle) for the foreseeable future.
On Facebook, Amesbury Police has said: "Drivers please be aware that the A303 near Tisbury is closed in both directions between the junctions for the A350 and A36 following a serious RTC.
"The road will be closed for the foreseeable future. Please find alternate routes."
National Highways have issued an official diversion route for drivers this evening.

Road users travelling eastbound are advised to follow the hollow diamond diversion symbol visible on local road signs.
- At Winterbourne Stoke junction, head north onto the B3083.
- Turn west onto the Maddington junction and continue on the A360
Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the solid circle diversion symbol visible on local road signs.
- Exit the A303 and take the A36 northbound
- At Warminster take the A360 southbound. Continue onto this road until you reach Littleton Pannell B3098.
- Turn west onto the B3098 until you reach Westbury, and head north onto the A350.
- Continue on to the A36 at Warminster.
- Turn onto the A350 at Crockerton Green until you rejoin the A303.
