A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a pick-up truck.
Emergency services were called to Sheepcroft Lane in Holt at around 9.30am on Tuesday, April 23.
A learner motorcycle was involved in a crash with a grey Ford Ranger pickup truck. Images from the scene show the motorbike had collided with the rear door of the truck.
The road was temporarily closed by road traffic police while paramedics dealt with the male motorcyclist.
He was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his leg.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “At around 9.35am on Tuesday 23 April 2024, Dorset Police received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision in the Holt area of Wimborne involving a car and a motorcycle.
“Officers attended with the ambulance service and the road was temporarily closed.
“A man was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious leg injury.”
A spokesman for East Dorset police has appealed for any witnesses to come forward by contacting 101 and quoting the crime reference number 55240059661.
