A man wanted for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving without a licence was apprehended after walking up to a police officer to ask him a question.
The man pulled his car over in front of the Tesco Express on Salisbury Street in Fordingbridge on the evening of Sunday, April 21 to ask a member of the Fordingbridge Policing Team on cycle patrol a question.
It was then discovered that the man had a failure to appear warrant issued against him.
He was subsequently taken into custody and taken to Southampton to await the next available time to appear in court, while the vehicle was seized at the owners expense.
