A Wiltshire drama group have announced their Spring 2024 production.
Redlynch Players have confirmed they will be performing the premiere of ‘The Village School’, by Ron Perry, based on the books from author, Miss Read, next month.
Described as a “Nostalgic Drama,” this performance is based on a small primary school, in the village of Fairacre, set in the 1950’s. Miss Read, who is the headmistress, is a popular figure in the school and the village, who must deal with various day to day problems, but the threat of the school closing and ever-present change in the village, poises a new challenge for her.
Redlynch Players have said: “Be prepared for a special evening as we become spectators to a snapshot of life in Fairacre.”
The performance will be taking place at Redlynch Village Hall, from 7:30pm, beginning on Wednesday, 22nd May, continuing every day until Saturday, 25th may. All tickets can be purchased for £12 by emailing: tickets@redlynchplayers.co.uk
