A PET dog died after emergency services were called to a house fire in Ringwood.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service attended the fire at a property on Hampton Drive on Wednesday, April 10.
Crews from Ringwood arrived alongside Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service at 2.05pm.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and left the scene at around 4.15pm.
Volunteers from British Red Cross Dorset Emergency Response responded to the incident to provide practical and emotional support to those involved.
They posted on social media that unfortunately the occupants of the host lost their pet dog in the fire.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Ringwood and Dorset and Wiltshire FRS attended a fire at a domestic property in Hampton Drive, Ringwood on Weds 10 April.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
“The initial call came in at 14:05 and crews left the scene at around 16:15.”
