ABOUT half a dozen horses escaped from their paddock and ran riot.
Police had to be called to Station Road in West Moors to help return the stallions to their stables on Wednesday afternoon, April 1.
According to witnesses, they were heading for the A31 dual carriageway nearby.
But with the help of residents and officers, the horses were eventually all safe less than an hour later.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 12.51pm of horses on the road at Station Road, West Moors.
“Officers attended and assisted with returning the horses to their field. Police left the scene at around 1.40pm.”
According to another witness, this is not the first time the horses have broken free from the field, with another incident happening not too long ago.
