A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was bitten by a loose dog, leaving him with several puncture wounds.
The boy was bitten on his leg at around 4pm on Sunday, March 3, in Hancock Drive, Amesbury, by a dog which was not on a lead.
The dog ran over to him and bit him on the leg, causing several puncture wounds.
Amesbury Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which a young boy was bitten by a dog.
"The incident happened at approximately 4pm on March 3 – enquiries have been ongoing to identify the dog owner since.
"A 12-year-old boy had gone out to play in the Hancock Drive area when a dog, which was not on a lead, ran up to him and bit him on the leg, causing several puncture wounds.
"We are appealing for information or any witnesses.
