A WOMAN who boarded a train without a ticket has been ordered to pay more than double its value.
Holly Barnard, 22, of Lyburn Road in Hamptworth, boarded a train at Southampton Central on April 24, 2023, without a valid ticket.
The 22-year-old was ordered to compensation of £43.30 to cover the cost of the ticket at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on Thursday, February 29.
Magistrates imposed a £26 and ordered Barnard to pay further court costs of £20 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £10, totalling £99.30.
