A HUGE amount of rubbish including an artillery shell carrier has been fly-tipped on the side of a road.
The items, which the council describes as potentially being from a house clearance, were dumped in a lay-by on the A36 near Steeple Langford.
Some of the discarded items include a children's doll, broken plates, a jumbo steam cleaner, a speaker and what appears to be a 1960's British twin mortar carrier.

Wiltshire Council is investigating the fly-tipping and is keen to speak to anyone who can help.
It said: "We want to hear from anyone who may recognise this waste found fly-tipped in a lay-by on the A36 near Steeple Langford, Salisbury.
"To help with our investigations, we ask anyone recognising this waste to come forward in confidence and speak with us. The fly-tip is a house clearance in nature with many items which are old and potentially recognisable."
Readers can get in touch with the council about the matter by emailing: enviromentalenforcement@wiltshire.gov.uk or by calling: 0300 456 0100.
Wiltshire Council says that all information will be treated as confidential.
