May I use the Journal to thank the two very kind good citizens who helped me out on Monday, when I tripped over a broken paving slab in Castle Street and hit my head when falling.
In spite of my subsequent nosebleed, they insisted on waiting with me while I gathered my senses and the young lady walked with me as I headed homeward.
The man, who was painting a shop window surround, even went to get a bucket of water to sluice off the blood-spattered pavement!
I really can't speak highly enough of the help they gave me. It is refreshing to know that there are still enough such kind folk to help when they are needed.
