THE red carpet was rolled out for a vintage fashion show at a care home in the city.
Milford House Care Home held the show, featuring dresses and accessories from the 50’s and 60’s, taking many enthusiastic residents on a trip down memory lane.
The event was organised by one of the home’s activity co-ordinators, Gale Louw, who is a vintage aficionado.

Gale was supported by Diane Hampstead a doyenne of the local vintage scene who compered the afternoon, while Gale and colleague RN Jo Golden modelled the outfits together.
One resident at the home said: "I just loved the afternoon, it was so well put together and I loved the colourful clothes and the models were excellent and showed off the clothes so well.
"I thought the fashions were great and hearing the descriptions added an extra dimension to the afternoon.
"It was lovely that one of the dresses Jo modelled had belonged to her mother which made it extra special."
Aga Musial, general manager of Milford House Care Home said: "This was such a fun afternoon which had everyone cheering the fantastic fashions as the models walked the red carpet.
"For many of our residents, the fashions were representative of what they themselves had worn in the past so there was lots of chat and reliving memories which, set alongside Diane’s expert commentary, made for such an interesting and colourful afternoon.
"We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Milford House as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this one was us at our most fashionably fun.
