VOLUNTEERS from a popular community swap shop event say they desperately need help to store clothes, rails and equipment, and would be "extremely grateful" for any help.
Alderbury Clothing Exchange provides free, high-quality clothing to local families in need, offering a unique ‘personal swapper’ experience for all. Their events are nonprofit and run on donations and volunteers, so organisers aim to keep running costs as low as possible.
Founder and co-organiser Jenna Lloyd said: "Paying for storage simply isn't an option for us. We receive so many generous donations of clothes, shoes and accessories from our wonderful community.

"We'd love to be able to store these between events so if any local businesses have a storage unit or garage space they could offer us, we'd be extremely grateful."

The Alderbury Clothing Exchange has become a beloved fixture in the community, offering a fun and free way for residents to swap clothing items, reduce waste, and promote eco-friendly fashion practices.
Guests of all ages have praised the swap events. A member of staff from a nearby care home said: "This is fabulous. I have found some clothes for a resident with no family. Thank you."
Isabelle, aged 8, said: "I loved it."
Their Spring event will take place at Alderbury Village Hall on Sunday, April 28, with doors open to guests from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.
The team hopes that their new venue will offer guests more room to browse, as well as some on-site parking.
Donations of clean, good quality womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, shoes and accessories can be brought to the event on Sunday, April 28 or dropped off at the hall between 9am and 5pm the day before, Saturday, April 27.
