A MAN who was deemed unfit to drive through drugs has been banned from driving for a year.
Kieran Dyer, 27, of Longland in Salisbury, was stopped by police while he drove a BMW 118 along Downton Road on January 20, 2023.
Officers determined he was unfit to drive the vehicle because he had consumed drugs, which Dyer pleaded guilty to.
When searched, Dyer was found to be in possession of cocaine and cannabis.
Dyer was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £250 at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 13.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £100 surcharge.
Magistrates ordered for Dyer's drugs to be forfeited and destroyed but gave no separate penalty for the offences.
