A 'RECKLESS' driver has been banned from the roads after he was caught reaching speeds of more than 120 miles per hour.
Benjamin Vincent, of The Corner in Shroton, was recorded speeding down the A303 at Woodbine Hill by police on March 25, 2023.
The 22-year-old BMW three series driver, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was stopped and reported to court after he was clocked going 124mph in the 70 mph area.
Salisbury Magistrates Court disqualified Vincent from driving for 42 days on Thursday, March 7.
He was also fined £432 and ordered to pay court costs of £620 and a victim surcharge of £173.
PC Paul Davis of Wiltshire Police's Roads Policing Unit said: “This was incredibly reckless behaviour which could have caused a fatal collision on our roads.
“I hope Vincent spends his disqualification period re-evaluating his behaviour and the potential consequences of such poor driving.”
