PC Boon of Wiltshire Police said: “We have had around 37 reports involving horses loose on the road in the Odstock area, and we acknowledge this is having a big impact on the local community.
“We are working with local residents, Wiltshire Council and owners of the horses and land, in order to come to a positive resolution. We hope for a swift conclusion.
"We can confirm the horses have been checked by a wildlife officer and there are no concerns. We would remind member of the community not to engage with them or their enclosure."
