SALISBURY Musical Society (SMS) is returning with a performance on March 16.
The group will be performing Verdi ‘Requiem’ at Salisbury Cathedral, alongside the Chelsea Opera Group Orchestra. The performance will be conducted by David Halls.
The soloists will be Rachel Nicholls (sop), Jess Dandy (alto), Paul Nilon (tenor) and James Platt (bass). The concert runs without an interval and is scheduled to finish by 9pm.
This work commands huge orchestral forces and a large brass section with 4 distant trumpets.
