MORE temporary traffic lights have been installed in the city, and will in be in place for a whole month.
The latest in a series of seemingly never-ending temporary traffic light installations in Salisbury comes on the A30, Three Mile Hill, Laverstock.
According to One Network, the lights are in place for works that began at 7pm yesterday, Sunday, February 25 and are due to be completed by 3pm on Monday, March 25.
The works, underway by Wiltshire Council, are to repair a cracked BT frame and a damaged cover.
Cllr Caroline Thomas, Cabinet Member for transport said, “Temporary signals have been installed on the A30 over a damaged BT cover which is cracked and needs to be repaired.
"We have reported this to Openreach and we are awaiting response from them.
"We are hoping the repair will be carried out before 25 March.
"Whilst we are unfortunately not able to confirm exactly when the works will be complete at this stage, we expect Openreach to complete them as quickly as possible."
