Salisbury and South Wilts CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) celebrated its 25th Winterfest with the event being held in The Guildhall for the first time in its history.
Tickets were sold out despite the event coinciding with beer festivals in Devizes and Bath due to scheduling difficulties.
After a very cold couple of days at Brown Street in 2023, the decision was made to move the festival indoors. Both the Banqueting Hall and the Crown Court rooms were used for seating during the event.
Twenty-six cask ales and five ciders were available, with old favourites like Stonehenge and Downton featuring alongside new-coming breweries such as Dark Revolution.

After the success of Winterfest 2024, Salisbury CAMRA’s summer beer festival is also set to be held at The Guildhall.
Festival coordinator Andrew Hesketh said The Guildhall staff had been very helpful in organising the event.
Andrew said: “The staff have been very cooperative and friendly.”
The Guildhall manager Luke Harris said the event fit well with the 18th-century venue.
Luke said: “It’s great to have people in the building.”
The winning beers voted upon by Salisbury Winterfest attendees will be announced at the next Salisbury CAMRA branch meeting on Wednesday, March 6.
