A WOMAN has been banned from getting behind the wheel after she was caught drink driving on Christmas Eve.
Susan Broome, of Hamilton Road in Salisbury, was driving a Ford Focus along Lipscombe Rise, Alton, on December 24, 2023, when she was caught by police.
The 55-year-old failed a roadside breath test which showed her having 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit to drive is 35 microgrammes.

Broome pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle over the alcohol limit and was sentenced at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, February 13.
She was disqualified from driving for 16 months, which can be reduced by 16 weeks if she completes a drink driving awareness course.
Broome was also fined £422 and ordered to pay a £169 surcharge and £85 fine.
