A person had to be cut out of their car by firefighters after a crash on the A303.
Emergency services were called to the A303 between the A350 junction and Willoughby Hedge just after 7am on Wednesday, February 14.
The dual carriageway was closed in both directions after a crash, which involved a van and a car.
Wiltshire Police said a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a person had to be cut out of their car.
UPDATES: A303 closed between A350 and Willoughby Hedge
A spokesperson said: "We were called to the A303 between the A350 junction and Willoughby Hedge at 7.11am this morning following a collision between a car and a van.
"Two crews from Shaftesbury and one from Salisbury attended, and the car’s door was cut off to assist the removal of the driver, who had been medically trapped.
"They were handed into the care of the ambulance service and our stop was at 8.09am."
The A303 remains closed at the time of writing.
