A WOMAN who was charged following a stabbing in Bemerton Heath has been denied bail.
Kelly Sutton, 44, of Westwood Road, Bemerton Heath, was arrested and charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent by stabbing Jamie Sprusen inside their family home on January 28.
Mr Sprusen, who is Sutton's ex-boyfriend and a man in his 40s, suffered three knife injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Sutton appeared at Salisbury Magistrates' Court on Monday, January 29, where she was remanded in custody.
An application to grant Sutton bail was considered at Salisbury Crown Court on Wednesday, February 7, but Her Lady Judge Morris denied it.
The defence proposed Sutton could live with her mother, an 11-minute drive from Mr Sprusen's home which is where the attack is said to have taken place.
Sutton will remain in custody until her next appearance in Salisbury Crown Court on February 23 for a plea and pre-trial preparation hearing.
