It has been an immense privilege and joy to have known Sir Christopher and Lady Jo for over 25 years through several connections including the Hospital which I chaired for some years, and the Cathedral to which we were both committed.
There were other links including medical research through the Wessex Medical Trust and public duties.
However, it was our conversations over the development of a Child Bereavement Suite which highlighted their devotion to parents at the most stressful time of their lives.
It was truly inspirational and heartwarming to witness those conversations with bereaved families which I will never forget.
Their love and commitment will remain with me forever, as it will for all those who have and continue to benefit from this unique service.
