Queen Camilla will be in Salisbury next week for a charity concert raising funds for Wiltshire charities. 

The concert will be held at Salisbury Cathedral on Thursday, February 8, in front of Her Majesty The Queen. 

Award-winning concert pianist Rupert Egerton-Smith will perform alongside The Band of The Grenadier Guards and The Band and Bugles of The Rifles.

The Band of The Grenadier Guards represent the most senior, infantry regiment of the British Army, while the Band and Bugles of The Rifles represent the largest sole rifle regiment in the British Army.

It is one of the rare occasions that the two bands will perform together, and also Mr Egerton-Smith’s debut performance alongside them.

TV star and Wiltshire Air Ambulance ambassador Paul Martin will host the event.

He said: “As a Wiltshire resident, I'm absolutely honoured to be able to host this very special occasion which is raising vital funds for key charities in our community.

“It is set to be a fantastic event in an historic venue and I’m very much looking forward to having the honour of hosting the night.”

All profits from the evening will go towards The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Youth Action Wiltshire.

Ticket prices range from £15 to £65 and must be purchased online before the concert. No tickets will be available on the night.
