Multiple power outages were reported as a result of Storm Isha bringing strong winds and rain throughout Southern England on Sunday, January 21.
Around Salisbury, outages have been reported by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) in Fordingbridge, Tisbury and Gore Cross, affecting an estimated 48 customers.
According to SSEN’s live Powertrack service, engineers were on-site at all three locations on the morning of Monday, January 22.
A statement from SSEN accompanying all three reports explained the situation: “We made good progress overnight remotely moving our network around to get power restored to large numbers of properties, however, repairs are required to get power back on for everyone.
"Our engineers have been out since first light, assessing and starting repairs, where possible, to our network. There is a large volume of faults they’re responding to, and this does mean there can be delays in getting available engineers to the area, along with any restrictions caused by the storm to travel routes.”
