TWO men who were arrested on suspicion of stealing a car were Salisbury residents, police have confirmed.
The pair, aged 20 and 19, were inside a Toyota Prius which had been stolen from London in August 2023 when Wiltshire Police began tracking them at around 8.30pm on Thursday, January 11.
The driver was travelling on the A36 toward Wilton but he made off after ramming a police vehicle.
He was then tracked to Adlam Way, St Peter's Place, where it was found abandoned.
They exited the car and attempted to hide from the police but Police Dog Skye found the duo hiding in a garden with help from the National Police Air Service.
The men, from Salisbury, were arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, failing to stop for police and dangerous driving.
One of the men was further arrested for drug driving after failing a drugs wipe.
They remain in custody for questioning.
