THREE men have been temporarily banned from driving after committing crimes in and around Wiltshire.
Alexandru-Claudiu Mate-Motoc, 27, of Taunton, Somerset, has landed a hefty fine for speeding along the A303 at Fonthill Bishop on February 6, 2023.
The repeat offender was caught breaking the speed limit in his BMW 320D and has been disqualified from holding a driving licence for six months.
At a hearing in Swindon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 9, Mate-Motoc was fined £660 and ordered to pay a £264 surcharge as well as £90 costs.
His licence was also endorsed with six penalty points.
Rodrigo Vieira, 41, of Le Patourel Close in Christchurch, drove a Honda Civic along the A338 at Fordingbridge without a licence on January 9, 2023.
Swindon magistrates disqualified Vieira from holding a licence for six months for the repeat offence and put four penalty points on his driving record.
He was ordered to pay a £220 fine, £88 surcharge and £90 court costs on January 9, 2024.
Neil Martin Curley, 58, of Trelissick Road in Paignton, was caught breaking the 70-miles-per-hour limit along the A303 at Stockton Woods in a Mercedes Benz on April 15, 2023.
Swindon Magistrates disqualified him from driving for 28 days, fined him £342 and ordered him to pay a £137 surcharge and £90 costs.
