FIRE crews from Amesbury and Salisbury were called to a retail property after an outside light caught fire.
When the firefighters arrived at the incident in Mid Summer Place, in Amesbury, on Friday, January 5 the fire was already out.
The teams were satisfied that there was no further fire risk after conducting external and internal checks of the building.
Businesses in Mid Summer Place include Harvester, McDonald’s, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a commercial premises on Midsummer Place, Amesbury at 7.39pm on Friday, January 5 after someone saw flames issuing from an external light. Two crews attended, from Amesbury and Salisbury; the fire was out on arrival but firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to ensure there was no fire spread, and the light was removed from the building’s fascia. Our stop was at 8.19pm."
