A POPULAR and well-known Salisbury man has died suddenly aged 36.
Thom Belk died yesterday afternoon, according to a statement posted online by Salisbury Football Club.
An exact cause of death is not yet known.
Mr Belk was an important part of the bid to rebuild Salisbury FC and "played a key role in the early days as it grew".
He was also an important figure in the Salisbury music scene, helping to create, organise and run the annual Salisbury Music Awards, and other events such as Salisbury Live.
Mr Belk was also a frequent contributor to the Journal over the years, with many contributions to the sports desk and entertainment section of this newspaper. We are grateful for his work and our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.
The family has said they are shocked and grieving and request their privacy at this time.
If you would like to send us your tributes to Thom, email newsdesk@salisburyjournal.co.uk.
