Two people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A360, with one in a "serious but stable condition".
The crash occurred at approximately 12.20pm on Tuesday, December 26 near the junction with Church Bottom and led to hours-long closures of the road between between Salisbury and the A303.
Three people were involved in the crash. Two exited their vehicle on their own accord before two fire engines arrived from Salisbury and crews assisted the third individual out of their vehicle.
Both drivers were taken to hospital. One of them, a man in his 80s, remains in hospital in a "serious but stable condition," according to Wiltshire Police.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 12:23pm on Tuesday, December 26 with reports of a road traffic collision on the A360 at Stoford.
"Two fire engines from Salisbury were mobilised and on arrival found two vehicles involved. Three casualties were reported, one was assisted from a vehicle by firefighters and crews worked on making the scene safe. The stop came in at 12:54pm and we remained on scene until just after 1pm.”
Wiltshire Police has asked anyone who may have witnessed or have dashcam footage of the incident to call the serious collision investigation team on 012225 694597 quoting log number 84 of Tuesday, December 26.
Update: An original version of this story said one person was taken to hospital. After further information was received from Wiltshire Police, the article has been changed to reflect that two people were sent to hospital.
