To all Citizens of Salisbury and beyond, tt gives me great pleasure to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
It’s been a great six months, from the Royal Visit, to arranging a multi-faith dialogue events between Islam and Christianity in the Cathedral, meeting two prime ministers, dinner talks, to Bollywood night, has certainly brought the community together.
I’m delighted to have been able to give my chosen charities, the Salisbury Hospice, Wilton RDA and the wonderful Rotary clubs who do so much in our community more than £18000.
I couldn’t do this without the help of my team and generous donations from friends and local businesses.
I’m hopeful with everyone’s help I can double the amount in next six months and very much looking forward to arranging dinner and further events, keep a lookout.
Once again have a wonderful Christmas.
Cllr Atiqul Hoque
Mayor of Salisbury
