A CANDLELIGHT vigil was held in the city centre calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
The vigil was organised by Salisbury Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) and about 100 people attended the vigil with people all hoping for peace.

Read more:A spokesperson for the Salisbury CND said: “There is no military solution to this awful situation and the sooner the violence on both sides is halted and talks begin, the better.
“Our government is complicit in supplying the weapons and logistic support that feed into the destruction in Gaza.”
An additional candlelight vigil has been set up with the next event to take place outside of the Salisbury Library on Saturday, December 23 at 4.15pm to 4.45pm.
