LINE-DANCERS have raised hundreds of pounds for a community farm.
Mulepackers CWDC (line and partner dancers) chose River Bourne Community Farm as their charity to support in 2023, raising £1,500 through demonstrations, workshops charity social dances and raffles.
During the pandemic, the farm let Mulpackers use their large barn so they could socially distance, but continue to dance through restrictions and they say it was a great pleasure to raise funds for them in 2023 by way of support and as a thank you.
Sara-Jane Hancock, a manager at River Bourne Community Farm, said: “We were very happy to be able to help Mulepackers to continue through the pandemic as we loved to watch them and tap our feet after we’d finished work!
"We are delighted with their donation and very grateful – we’ve got lots of projects for 2024 so it will be well spent!”
River Bourne Community Farm is a successful education centre employing full and part-time teaching staff. It is home to a wide range of farm animals, and is a popular meeting place for the local community.
