This year the Mayor of Salisbury, Councillor Atiqul Hoque held a Christmas card competition which invited children up to the age of 13 years of age to submit entries and the winner has just been announced.
The mayor judged the competition with a theme of Salisbury, the City of Stars and the winner was Martha, aged 7 for her entry ‘Rainbow Christmas.’

“We are lucky to have so many talented young people in Salisbury. Congratulations to Martha for being this year's winner - her entry stood out because of her creative use of colour and imagination.”
The Christmas cards will be sent locally and to overseas destinations such as sister cities in Maryland USA and the twinning cities of both Xanten and Saintes.
