SPECTATORS will be able to cheer on a group of festive Santas' as they make their yuletide dash around the city this weekend - all for a good cause.
Runners dressed in Santa suits will be raising money for Naomi House and Jacksplace charity which provides hospice care for children and young adults.
The charity provides expert hospice care for children and young adults with complex care needs and supports more than 550 families across central southern England.
Events fundraising officer at Naomi House and Jacksplace, said “We are extremely excited that our Santa Fun Run is returning to Salisbury for a third year, it is our jolliest event of the year with Santa’s running through the streets.
"The fundraising efforts from the runners so far have been amazing. Everyone who takes part, or who supports a participant with sponsorship, really helps to make a difference for the children, young adults, and their families here at Naomi House & Jacksplace.”
Runners can warm up and then, once the starting gun is fired, can take a scenic jog past Salisbury Cathedral and into the city running towards the finishing line in a flurry of snow.
The 5k Santa Fun Run event takes place on Sunday, December 10. Check in opens from 8.15am and warm-up begins at 8.55am and the fun run officially starts at 9am. The race is expected to finish about 10.30 am.
The starting and finishing point is in Marsh Close. (What 3 Words: ///brush.feeds.detect).
Registrations close at 9pm on Thursday December 7 but can be paid on the day.
