A SALISBURY photographer has resurrected a project that raised thousands of pounds for a local charity and wants to do the same again.
Simon Ward, of Simon Ward Photography is a regular supporter of Julia's House charity and the Stars Appeal and during the 2020 lockdown, he began to take photos of families, businesses and organisations asking only for a donation for charity.
The inspiration came after seeing a photographer in London provide a similar service and in 2022, he raised £1,332 bringing the total to £6,457. Of this amount, £3,946 went to the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital and £2,511 went to Julia's House - the charity for ill children.
Simon said: "I'd love to hit the £7,000 mark.
"I want to photograph as many families, businesses, and local organisations as possible in exchange for a donation to either or both of these two wonderful charities."
Those who are interested need to make a donation at the website and then, provide the details to Simon. He will then arrange the doorstep snap.

"Charities across Britain have struggled with fundraising over the past couple of years so your support is very much appreciated."
The Doorstep Snaps project began on Saturday, November 25 and runs until Saturday, December 23.
