A man in his 40s has been killed after the Mini he was driving crashed with a lorry on one of the region's busiest roads.
The crash near Thruxton saw the A303 closed in both directions just outside Wiltshire for most of Friday (December 1).
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary were called to the incident at 9.30am and the driver of a red Mini Cooper - from Kingsdon, Somerset - was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for SWASFT said: “We were called at 9.28am on Friday, December 1, to a road traffic incident on the A303 near Thruxton Down.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance and a responding officer.”
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are now appealing for information.
A spokesperson said: “Were you driving on the A303 and saw the collision or a red Mini in the moments before it? Do you have any relevant dashcam footage?
“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 44230491058.”
