Wiltshire's motorists will have 43 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause severe delays – with drivers facing waits of at least 30 minutes. Another five will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 11 closures already in place are expected to carry on this week.

Here are the ones affecting Salisbury drivers:

  • A303, from 7pm November 30 to 8am December 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, Countess to Longbarrow roundabout closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via A345, The Packway, B3086 and A360.
  • A36, from 9pm December 4 to 5am December 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions St Pauls Roundabout to St Mark's Roundabout lane closures for electrical works.
  • A36, from 9pm December 8 to 5am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 southbound, College Roundabout to Petersfinger lane closure for barrier repair.
  • A303, from 8pm December 10 to 5am December 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 both directions Furze Hedge (A350) to Deptford (A36) carriageway closures for maintenance, diversion via A350 and A36.
  • A36, from 9pm December 11 to 4am December 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Limpley Stoke to Limpley Stoke - multiway signals for drainage works.
  • Pembroke Road (Eastern Crescent), Salisbury; for its entire length to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Pembroke Road (main spur) and vice versa. This order will come into operation on November 29 and the closure will be required between the hours of 9am and 4pm until December 2.
