A CORDON remains in place at an address following the “unexplained” death of a man.
Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man aged in his 70s in Verwood.
As reported, Dorset Police received a concern for the welfare of a man at an address in Burn Close at 11.42pm on Monday, November 27.
Officers attended along with the ambulance service, but the man was found dead at the scene.
The man's family was informed and the coroner notified.
Following the discovery, police said there would be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are carried out.
Giving an update on Wednesday, November 29, a Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of the death remain ongoing and a cordon remains in place at the address.
“The death is still being treated as unexplained.”
The spokesperson added: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who sadly died, and they are being kept updated with the progress of our investigation.”
