Wiltshire Council has refused a planning application that proposed further signs to a potential new Poundland store in Wiltshire.
Poundland applied to Wiltshire Council for planning permission to install two new glazed shopfront windows at Unit 1, Churchill Way West, on March 27, and it had previously been granted approval in May 2023 to set up signage at a retail unit.
At the time, the retail giant told the Journal that plans were “tentative".
However, shortly afterwards, they submitted another application for further signage above the unit.
This application has now been refused, on the grounds that “such a proliferation of signs” would be excessive.
