A man from Salisbury has been arrested in conjunction with the death of a 22-year-old man in Gosport. 

Officers were called to Keyes Road, in Gosport on Friday, November 24 at 2.32am after a man had been seriously assaulted in the area.

The 22-year-old man subsequently died of his injuries and his family was informed. 

A red Vauxhall Corsa crash at the scene has been linked to the investigation. Two men aged, 18 and 24 along with a 35 year-old woman from Gosport have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 67-year-old man from Salisbury has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

They are in police custody. 

A 19-year-old man from Gosport arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, November 24, has been released on police bail until Saturday, February, 24.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Gillooly said: “We would like to thank the community for their cooperation and patience while we have been working the area. We know this is a devastating incident for the victim’s family and will have been shocking for those living in the area."
