SEVERAL pubs, restaurants and cafes have been given new food hygiene ratings by the Food Standards Agency.
Rated 3: Tandoori Nights Restaurant, a restaurant, at 26 High Street, Amesbury, was given the score after assessment on October 16, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
Rated 4: The Wooden Spoon, a pub, bar or nightclub at High Street, Downton, was given the score after assessment on October 13.
Rated 4: Saffron, a takeaway at 17 Wilton Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire was given a score of four on October 12.
Rated 5: Ed Dibbles at the Kingfisher Cafe at Langford Fishery, Duck Street, Steeple Langford, Salisbury; rated on October 27
Rated 5: Penruddocke Arms at Hindon Road, Dinton, Salisbury, Wiltshire; rated on November 3
The re-inspection of the pub was requested after the pub was given a score of one out of five on July 20.
Andre Smith, who obtained the pub in May 2023, said: "We are very happy with the five-star rating, especially with the Christmas run-up ahead and the launch of our carvery service this Sunday.
"The rating is a testament to the efforts of our hardworking team."
Rated 5: King Fish at Unit 3, The Plaza, Bulford Road, Durrington; rated on October 31
The fish and chip shop had previously been given a one out of five but was re-inspected and given top marks just weeks later.
Kingfish manager, Memz Annak told the Journal: "It is a big relief. A weight off my mind."
