This was the second most senior position in the treasury, next only to the chancellor of the exchequer.
Mr Glen will become paymaster general, a minister for the cabinet office. He will act as a banker for most government departments and be responsible for paying public service pensions.
Mr Glen was appointed to the role by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on October 25, 2022, and took over from Edward Argar.
Mr Glen said: "I am pleased to have been appointed to the role of Paymaster General and minister for the Cabinet Office.
"I look forward to supporting the government to deliver our priorities".
